About

I am an experienced consultant and project manager. I spend most of my time thinking about social software (aka Web 2.0 or Enterprise 2.0 or social media) and how to make use of it. I am particularly interested in applying these tools within organisations, and re-engineering intranets to make them more about people and less about technology.

  • I am based in London - but have plenty of experience in working overseas, both in person and remotely.
  • I have worked for both large and small consulting organisations - 5 years at Mercer where I was the UK Technology (and User Experience) Lead for the Internal Communication Practice, and more recently at Headshift, one of the leading European social software consultancies where I was a Senior Consultant and Head of Production.
  • I've led projects for large multinational companies, as well as working for small nano-publishers and non-profit organisations.
  • I've been blogging on and off since 2000, both internally and externally.
  • An experienced conference speaker, I've had rave reviews at the conferences and workshops I've presented at, and love to spread the social word to teams wanting to understand how to apply social strategies within their company.
  • Oh - I'm also a pretty good Information Architect - with my main focus on creating great user journeys that fulfill the needs of the visitors as well as the organisation.
