Podcasting - let’s stick to the definition !

Of course the last post wasn't referring to a podcast but a downloadable audio file. I must remember not to do things that I rant about other people doing! [Just to clarify. We've been able to download audio files for yonks but what makes it pod"casting" is embedding that audio file in an RSS feed that allows users to subscribe to it.]

Amen to that - I'm getting quite boring on the subject here, as if the term becomes synonmous with "some audio or video slapped online", then the power of the word starts to dissipate. Still not a real podcast believer - although I did like the Ricky Gervais stuff..which only reinforced my opinion that production and content values required for podcasting are much higher than those for blogging, because of the greater attention required - see my earlier posts on the subject:
