After a healthscare drama last week, I've decided to placate the gods and switch over to linux on my desktop for a while [actually, I'm dualbooting and have decided to make my linux install the default].
Using Fedora Core 3, my initial verdict is mmm..not bad. Minor pitfalls so far include hard to get working dual monitor support, I'll have to do some instruction following to get my ipod connected, but apart from that, it's all going very well. rdesktop allows me to hook into my other windows boxes, and apart from that, not missing Windows XP at all right now.
Oh, and this is being posted from a nice little panel applet called gnome-blog. Anytime inspiration strikes a posting window is a click away.
